AstroSDR Space Flight

Rincon Research participated in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ORS-7 Polar Scout Mission. Rincon built two payloads—integrating an AstroSDR, three antennas, an RF front end, and a GPS receiver into a 3U form factor. Each payload was later integrated into respective 6U spacecraft, both of which were launched December 3, 2018 on-board the SpaceX SSO-A: Smallsat Express mission. The AstroSDR successfully accomplished its mission of collecting, processing, and locating emergency beacons.
